Continuing to strengthen its fleet capabilities, the Company has acquired M.V. Thor Phra Samut, a nine-year-old Ultramax bulk carrier with a carrying capacity of 63,025 deadweight tonnes. As the largest Ultramax vessel in the Company's fleet, the acquisition reflects Thoresen Shipping's disciplined fleet investment strategy to enhance operational efficiency, optimize fleet performance, and reinforce its competitive position in the global dry bulk shipping market.

Mr. Chalermchai Mahagitsiri, President and Chief Executive Officer of Thoresen Thai Agencies Public Company Limited (TTA), said: "Our achievement of being ranked No. 1 globally for Time Charter Equivalent (TCE) performance, together with our distinction as the only company to remain among the world’s top five for eight consecutive years, reflects Thoresen Shipping’s strong capabilities in fleet management, revenue generation, and cost control amid volatile market conditions. Building on this success, the acquisition of M.V. Thor Phra Samut, which brings our owned fleet to 24 vessels, marks another important milestone in our ongoing fleet renewal and expansion strategy. We remain committed to investing in modern, high-performing vessels that complement our existing fleet and strengthen our operational platform. This disciplined approach enhances fleet management and maintenance efficiency, optimizes operating costs, and provides greater flexibility in vessel deployment to better serve our customers' evolving requirements. The addition of this Ultramax vessel further strengthens our presence in high-demand dry bulk trades, enhances our competitive advantage, and reinforces Thoresen Shipping's position as one of the world's leading dry bulk shipping companies."

Built in 2017, M.V. Thor Phra Samut is a 63,025-DWT Ultramax bulk carrier with an overall length of approximately 200 meters.
